Already teaching Pilates since 2012, Izabella began her yoga journey with Kundalini Yoga in Hawaii in 2015, returning to Toronto to train under Sat Dharam Kaur for her teacher training. This decision came hand in hand with the experience of burnout from her corporate gig, which was a blessing in disguise as it brought her closer to yoga. She’s spent the last years studying the somatic experience and release of trauma as well as stress management using mindfulness, sound, and Vedic practices.
In 2019 she treated herself to 6 months in India studying Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, Yoga Nidra, Vedic Mantra, and Sound Healing using Tibetan Singing Bowls. Using a light hearted and humorous approach Izabella brilliantly teaches how the mechanisms in our body are constantly running and how we can equip ourselves with the right tools to not be subjected to our bodies outdated auto pilot, to live healthy, joyful and balanced lives. She uses yoga as medicine to give her students tools to allow them to listen to and heal their bodies. She encourages her students to connect with their power, reminding them that how we show up for life is always a choice. Off the mat you can catch her surfing, hanging with dogs and dancing her heart out.
