Isabel’s yoga journey began many years ago in South Africa when she was introduced to the practice of yoga by a close friend. She quickly became passionate about yoga and how it made her feel – lighter, stronger and more balanced in body and mind. In Singapore, she met Master Kamal, a yoga master who encouraged her to teach. With this extra motivation, she jumped right into finding a school and completing her first formal teacher training. Isabel was fortunate enough to immediately be offered the opportunity to teach at the studio she had so far only practiced in – True Yoga, the largest yoga studios group in Singapore. Teaching opened a whole new range of learnings to her – about what is at the core of yoga, individuality, humility – and she enjoys it as much as she enjoys her own practice. In addition to studio-based teaching, she coaches and teaches corporate and private clients. As with many yogis, her personal journey has led her to develop an understanding of what yoga is to her – intimacy with self and harmony with everything else. Isabel teaches various forms of yoga such as Gentle Yoga, Hatha beginners through advanced, Hatha & Core, Vinyasa beginners through advanced, Ashtanga Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Yoga Flow, Yoga Stretch.
Isabel’s qualifications include:
